You can read the whole story at the bottom of the page…Proposal Pictures in Cappadocia.
Poropsal Alternatives
We talked face-to-face, had contract via mail and via Skype to discuss the details of the suprise beforehand. We programmed it to the finest detail. There are a few methods for a marriage proposal in Cappadocia:
- We can take photo shooting completely unnoticed. In other words, it can be done with a lens from a long distance without being aware of the photo shooting. For this, it is necessary to choose a place where there are other people around so that I can photo shoot without being noticed by anyone. The disadvantage of this method is that a group of people come in front of me and I cannot alert, direct, etc. because we have to do it while being unnoticed.
- Acting as a tourist who passes by chance and travels with a camera. The moment when the groom gives his phone and says “can you take a photo of us,”. The proposal starts at this moment.
- The other alternative is that I will do my job as a souvenir photographer and take professional photos of the couple during the trip. Meanwhile the marriage proposal will be made.
- If there will be a proposal within the hotel boundaries, the marriage proposal will start when the hotel photographer starts to take photos.
We had decided together with Sid that the last point was the most suitable for their situation, because he would make the marriage proposal on the magnificent terrace allocated to Milestone Cave Hotel. Moreover, there was another surprise. Their friend Jae Ho, who came secretly from America, would sing, while Sid was playing the guitar.
The Big Day
On the day of the marriage proposal, we met with Jae in the lobby. Jae is a very fun man of Korean origin. We both got excited and met Sid at the planned time and came across Sajani, who was waiting on the terrace without knowing anything. At the same time, I pressed the record of the video camera in my tripot and placed it in a suitable place and started taking photos. Balloons were seen in the background, Sid was playing, Jae was singing, and Sajani was fascinated. Then the proposal and the answer followed. The answer was “yes”!
Soon after, I met with Sajani and told Sajani that a photo shooting tour with them will take. We started traveling around Cappadocia. Sid and Sajani are a great couple that are very sweet together. We had a great time together. I hope I will also have the chance to photo shoot their wedding in Florida when the day comes. One of my most happiest moments was that after delivering the photos, the couple said they went back to these moments and they could’nt keep from crying. This effect of photography always fascinates me.
Dear Sid and Sajani, hope to see you soon again!
