It was a privilege to be part of Elizavet and Paris’s special day as they exchanged vows in a traditional Greek Orthodox Church Wedding in Arnavutkoy, Turkey. Before the ceremony I had the honor of capturing their preparations which took place at the luxurious Çırağan Kempinski Hotel in Istanbul. The room was filed with love and excitement as Elizavet and Paris got ready with their baby Eirini and close relatives. Moreover all were surrounded by a breathtaking view of the Bosphorus. The next day, I was present to capture Eirini’s baptism at the Agia Triada Greek Orthodox Church in Kadikoy. This marked the start of her spiritual journey.
Arnavutkoy Aya Strati Taksiarhi Greek Orthodox Church
I had the opportunity to capture beautiful moments of the couple as they posed in the hotel’s magnificent garden. The couple was surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of birds chirping. Then we headed to the Arnavutkoy Aya Strati Taksiarhi Greek Orthodox Church. The couple’s marriage was oficially blessed in a traditional Greek Orthodox religious ceremony.
Greek Orthodox Church weddings are rich in tradition and symbolism. So I was struck by the beauty and significance of the ceremony. From the crowning of the couple with crowns made of olive leaves to the sharing of a common cup of wine. Every detail was a testament to the deep faith and comitment of the couple.
Feasting at Yenikoy Azur Restaurant
The evening was spent at Yenikoy Azur Restaurant. So the couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious dinner with a stunning view of the Bosphorus. The cake was cut and I had the chance to capture the joy and laughter of the couple and their guests. Then they celebrated the start of their life together.
In conclusion, as a wedding photographer, it was an honor to be part of Elizavet and Paris’s special day. Their Greek Orthodox Church Wedding in Arnavutkoy was a beautiful and meaningful celebration of their love and commitment to each other. With its traditional elements, breathtaking setting and joyous atmosphere, it was the perfect start to their journey as husband and wife. As a result, I am so grateful to have been a part of it.
