India and Emir’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, family and culture set against the stunning backdrop of Istanbul’s Bosphorus. As their photographer I had the privilege of capturing every moment of their special day: From the preparation at their home in Çukurcuma to the sunset boat cruise and the post-wedding party at Cezayir Bar in Galatasaray!

The preparation stage was filled with laughter and love as India, Emir and their close friends and family got ready for the big day. Then, we took a stroll through the rustic streets of Çukurcuma for a photo shoot. In addition, we also did it in Cihangir taking advantage of the charming, nostalgic backdrop. Lastly we also explored Yıldız Park, a hidden gem suggested by India, which proved to be a great photo location.
Capturing the Romance of the Bosphorus
The Bosphorus is an iconic location in Istanbul. In other words, it is a strait that separates the European and Asian continents and is one of the busiest waterways in the world. This stunning waterway is surrounded by breathtaking views of Ottoman palaces, castles and fortresses. Due to these beauties, it is an ideal location for a wedding or special event.
The highlight of the day was the Sunset Cruise boat wedding. The boat was beautifully decorated by Emir’s friends. Moreover the ceremony was a blend of both Turkish and Indian traditions, making for an emotional and fun experience. The flower throwing ceremony on the top floor of the boat was especially memorable as was the dinner and speeches in the restaurant section.
After Party
After the boat ceremony, we disembarked and went to Cezayir Bar in Galatasaray for the post-wedding party. The live blues band and cocktails set the mood for a great night with speeches from India’s father and friend Ivy adding to the joyous atmosphere.
India and Emir’s wedding was a testament to the beauty and romance of the Bosphorus. The mix of cultures, emotions and memories made for an unforgettable day. That is why I feel grateful to have been a part of it. As a wedding photographer, it was a privilege to capture the love and joy of India and Emir’s special day and to preserve those memories for a lifetime. I wish the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness and love.
