Sarah and Saad
I will never forget the day we first met with Sarah and Saad. Two beautiful and energetic people were sitting in front of me. I was able to see their excitement, joy and happiness in their eyes. They are both from Beirut, Lebanon and were living in Dubai. Their love for Turkey and Istanbul caused them to organise a destination wedding here. I think it was one of the most detailed meetings I have ever had. They planned and detailed everything to the smallest detail. To be honest, it kind of made my job easier to know that much. Welcome Party
We made our first photo shoot at Nişantaşı Park Sanat Cafe Bistro with a “welcome party.” At this party, I was able to meet with relatives and guests. The best part of the night was when Saad took the turntable and showed his skills as a DJ. His performance was really good.
We started the next day’s photo shoot at Beyoglu Room Mate Emir Hotel during the preparations. This hotel actually is an old Istanbul flat. They renovated and modernized it and interior architecture is exceptional. The rooms are great too. Thanks to the suspended roof, we had the opportunity to try a lot of new things with my friend who was recording the wedding. We had the opportunity to take photos of great moments with the bridesmaids and best men in the preparation rooms. On the other hand, my assistant photographer friends Mehmet and Tatiana went to Suma Beach to greet the guests and take set up photos. We concluded things that should be done in the hotel and set off for the wedding location. We kept an eye on the weather along the way. The news for a possible rain was alarming. The situation was uncertain all day.
Reception
When we arrived at the wedding location a heavy rain welcomed us and it kept raining all night: The wedding ceremony was planned to be on the beach but we had to move it to a closed area. When the closed area started to be affected by the rain too, the ceremony was moved to the tented area that the dinner was served. The attitude of Sarah and Saad and their friends made this possibly negative scenario enjoyable. Both the couple and the guests had a great time. And of course we enjoyed the night too. By the way, Laila Event’s quick problem solving skills were great.
The after party was organised in the wooded area of the Suma Beach but because of the rain it was cancelled. Fortunately, Saad was prepared for such a situation. We got in to the buses again and set off for the Karaköy Suma Han. The place was underground and perfect for the after party. We both had fun and took photos.
Alacati, Cesme, Izmir
After the wedding, the couple took some rest at Alacati for about a week. As we did not have a chance to take some couple photos on the wedding day, we met at Alacati and had a very good afternoon photo shoot at Cesme peninsula.
The photo shoots lasted for almost four days and I was very happy with the result; I think they were too. I hope we meet again as soon as possible.
I wish you a happy life.
