Morgan and Austin’s pregnancy announcement photo shoot was one of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on as a photographer. When they reached out to me from Kentucky, USA to schedule a photoshoot in Istanbul, I was thrilled to hear that they wanted to announce the gender of their baby through the photos. During our planning session, we discused several ideas for the photoshoot. Ultimately we decided to keep it simple and focus on the gender reveal. Morgan wore a lovely floral dress while Austin wore a pink shirt signaling that they were having a girl. We used ultrasound photos and baby overalls to enhance the theme and added a few couple shots to the mix.
Our first stop was the beautiful Hagia Sophia Mosque and the Sultanahmet Square Fountain where we were blessed with a sunny winter day. We then moved on to Eminonü and the Galata Bridge taking the tram from Sultanahmet to Eminonü. Shooting by the sea we made sure that Morgan was comfortable throughout the entire proces.
Celebration
Morgan and Austin were such a sweet and delightful couple to work with. When it comes to a baby or a child I always try to go the extra mile to capture their joy and excitement. After the shoot we celebrated at French Pajası in Karaköy. We had a drink and chated about their future plans. They stayed at the lovely Istanbul Gunesli La Quinta by Wyndham Hotel and it was great to have been a part of their special day.
