Romania and Bulgaria Photography Conferences

I attended two separate conferences as a speaker, first in Brasov, Romania, on 24-24 March, and then in Varna, Bulgaria, on 25-28 March. Moreover, I received an invitation to both conferences on the same day. You can find the rest of the article “Romania and Bulgaria Photography Conferences” below the photos…

Wedcamp Romania

First I was at the Weddcamp – Eastern European Wedding Photographers Conference in Brasov, Romania. First of all, I would like to thank Marius Tudor, Marian Sterea, Robert Trica and Irina Groza for their invitation and efforts. They did a great job. They personally took care of all the details. Belvedere Hotel, sponsors, everyone did their best.

I had a lot of fun during the presentation, I hope I was useful to the audience, and that’s the most important thing for me. Conferences are held in Romania every year and many photographers return home inspired by the speakers and colleagues. It is not a coincidence that many good photographers come from these lands. Being open to learning and innovation is one of the most important conditions for success. In that respect, I congratulate all my Romanian colleagues. You’re doing a great job.

All the speakers I watched gave me great inspiration. Many thanks to you Ioan, Jonas, Ana, Linda, Sara, Boni, Raluca, Florin and Alexander. It was great to see many old friends again and make new friends.

Brasov is truly a wonderful city. The city, built on a part of the Southern Carpathians, is also part of Transylvania. According to many Romanians, it is the most beautiful city in the country. It attracts attention with both its architecture and atmosphere. While we were walking around in t-shirts on the first day, we couldn’t see in front of us because of the snowfall on the second day. I will definitely come again.

International Forum for Professional Photographers and Videographers

My second stop was a three-day photo and video conference in Varna, Bulgaria. We left Brasov by train, met with a Panasonic Romania representative friend and went to Bulgaria together. 11th International Forum for Professional Photographers and Videographers organized by Tsvetelina Deliyska and Peter Deliyski. First of all, we need to congratulate this wonderful couple. They are really doing a crazy job. They have been organizing this conference regularly for 11 years and continue their photography work. It is a very busy job that requires a lot of labor and requires you to put together dozens of parts. They bring together many national and international speakers, companies, photographers and videographers.

By the way, the Varna Sunny Day Hotel, the models and the whole other team also did a great job. In addition, it was very important that many brands such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic were at this organization at the same time and offered testing opportunities.

Awesome Community

I must admit that, apart from 2-3 Bulgarian photographers, I had no idea what was going on here. I was very impressed when I heard that there are around 150-200 participants here every year. As I got to know them, my respect and admiration increased greatly. The first step to being successful is to be open to learning and being inspired by others, I am a firm believer in this. I was very happy to see such a crowd in front of me. I spent time interactively with many photographers, both during the presentation and in my free time. So I had the chance to evaluate the photos of my colleagues who bravely shared their photos in the last day’s photocritic section.

Many of my Bulgarian colleagues have managed to come together and form a community, exchange knowledge, develop together and compete in a friendly manner. There are wonderful characters and talented photographers in Bulgaria, I am sure we will hear many names from here soon.

One of the most valuable gains for me was meeting wonderful people who participated as speakers. They inspired me and their friendship. Kemran Shiraliev, Daimon Xanthopoulos, Maris and Ghislain as The Wild Strawberry, Mathias Callines, Marian Sterea, Dara Staykova and Tsvetelina Deliyska, thank you for everything.

My only regret is that there is no time left to visit the city. But on the other hand, I had an excuse to come back 🙂 See you again, my dear Bulgarian colleagues.
